Q. HOW DO I GET HARD TV?
A. If you do not have digital TV service yet, call your local cable or satellite provider to get connected with digital, and subscribe to HARDtv.
 
Q. WHAT IS DIGITAL?
A. Digital is a new way of broadcasting television signals. Since there is no longer any space available for new channels on the current Analog cable system, Digital service is being introduced to allow room for new programming to be offered on TV. More choice means you can have your HARDtv.
 
Q. WILL SUBSCRIBING TO DIGITAL AFFECT MY CURRENT CABLE PROGRAMMING SERVICES?
A. Not at all. When you subscribe to Digital, you still have access to all your existing cable programming. The only difference is that you now have access to new programming available only on Digital, like HARDtv.
 
Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIGITAL CABLE AND SATELLITE SERVICES?
A. Digital Cable means you can rent, and in some cases purchase, a digital terminal (which looks very much like a VCR) to add to your existing home entertainment unit. This Digital terminal gives you the opportunity to subscribe to new channels only available on Digital, like HARDtv. Satellite customers¹ purchase the dish, which can either be self installed or installed by the provider on the west side of your home. The dish allows you to subscribe to new digital channels, like HARDtv.
 
Q. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Q. DO I HAVE TO BUY A DIGITAL TV TO RECEIVE DIGITAL SERVICE?
A. Not at all. Digital cable and Satellite work on the existing TV you already own. In fact, digital service enhances the quality of both the picture and the sound.
 
Q. CAN I PICK AND CHOOSE MY DIGITAL CHANNELS?
A. One of the best features of Digital service is that you can create your own personal package, select a theme package, or for the best value, you have the option of choosing only one channel, if that is all you are interested in subscribing to, like HARDtv.
 
Q. IF I PURCHASE DIGITAL CABLE DO I NEED A SEPARATE DIGITAL TERMINAL FOR EVERY OUTLET?
A. Yes, a separate Digital Terminal is required on each TV outlet if you would like to view Digital programming on different TV sets. However, there is no charge for additional programming on different TV sets. In addition, you will continue to receive your regular Analog Cable TV channels on TV outlets that do not have a Digital Terminal hooked up.
